Vegan Outreach Scotland Highland & Moray were in action again last week, staffing our now familiar information stall at the University of Highlands & Islands in Inverness as part of a student support services day. A wide range of a wellbeing aspects were covered (some routine, some quite profound) and VOS took the task of educating young people as to how vegan results in better health, a better environment, and better mental health due to a zero cruelty life ![]()
Aside from the abundant vegan literature and information on display we also came prepared with food samples to dispel the myth of non-meat foods being too expensive and overly processed, and shocking footage in the form of 3-Minute Movie Challenge for any students bold enough to step up (one did and left in tears). The range of outreach styles and tactics employed by VOS is broad, because we believe that no one technique works for all and adaptability is the keyword.
Thanks go out to the volunteers who came and helped set up, pack up and, most importantly, talk to people and be champions for the animals – you know who you are!
