Flood alerts and yellow warnings of heavy rain. . . not the best start to Vegan Outreach Scotland’s day at Forres Highland Games, but still we pitched our tables and gazebo and awaited the crowds.
The weather seemed to ignore the forecast too and instead remained largely dry, coaxing out the crowds and giving our team of 7 some terrific vegan outreach opportunities. Encounters ranged from German tourists to local beef farmers and slaughter-men! Some of these interactions were light and relaxed while others were more profound, but all of them put animal suffering at the fore, justifying the one true reason to become vegan.
