The Greentown Show – Sunday, 1st September

Sunday 1st September saw a bright and sunny Grantown on Spey for this year’s Greentown Show, held by Sustainable Strathspey 🌞 We were kept busy with people visiting the VOS stand, keen for information and happy to talk with us, with plenty of open-minded and intelligent conversations. Food hits for the day? Cathedral City plant-based, of course, and the Duncans of Deeside shortbread also won approval! The date was shared with The Cairngorm Farmers Market, and we were pleased to talk with a few farmers there.
🎪 We were delighted to have the opportunity to participate in a short ‘Tent Talk’ about veganism. As well as its importance regarding sustainability we also drove home the important message of ethics and the needless and cruel exploitation of animals. We also talked about opportunities for farmers to transition away from animal agriculture.
It felt like a truly positive day with a lovely vibe

😃Huge thanks to Teri, Elizabeth Lawson and Mark Richards for all their support on the day – and for the great photos, Mark.
