The 13th National Animal Rights Day (NARD) will be commemorated in the UK – along with 60 other countries and 200 cities around the world – on Sunday June 4, 2023!
This will be Aberdeen’s 1st NARD event!
It will start with the NARD signature ‘Memorial Ceremony’ in St. Nicholas Street precinct for the billions of animals who have lost their lives this past year by human hands, in various industries that still use and abuse animals. We will stand in silence holding placards displaying photographs of those who are still exploited. There will be a short introductory speech followed by 3-4 eulogies for the animals. The Declaration of Animal Rights will be read aloud, before asking the public to add their signatures to it. We will also hand out NARD leaflets.
Following this we will invite members of the public to take the “3-Minute Movie Challenge” where they will receive a vegan goodie-bag in exchange for watching a 3 minute compilation from animal rights’ films.
